Alloo Privacy Policy

 

Alloo considers your privacy to be of utmost importance. It is importance that you read this Privacy Policy (“policy”). The policy states how we obtain, gather and use information while you use the Alloo application (called the “service”). By using the Alloo service, you are understood to have accepted the policies and practices described in this policy. The policy may be amended periodically, as and when required. Every time you use the service, you acknowledge, agree and affirm to our usage and disclosure of the information that you provide as described in this policy. With the view to clear the terminology, it may be stated that whenever the phrase “Personal Information” is used in the policy, it means information pertaining you that personally identifiable, like your name, address, e-mail address, billing information, or phone number, as well as other non-public information that is associated with this personal information.

Collection and Use of Information

 

After installation of the Alloo app, the users will be prompted to provide their phone number and will be asked to allow us access to their mobile device`s address book. Customer’s phone numbers and names in the address book (excluding emails, notes or any other personal information in the address book) will be stored on our servers. This copy of the names and phone numbers in the address book is stored on a live database which does not have a backup. If the customer deletes the address book from our servers, it will be deleted at once and on a permanent basis.

A Call Detail Record for each call conducted on the system is maintained by Alloo. This is an industry standard that is used by all phone companies. This information is maintained to identify and better understand network behaviour and trends including number of calls made by users, destinations the call is made to, call lengths, network type etc. This record also helps us in detecting potential outages and technical issues like noticing things like a drop in call volume in a certain geographical location, change in typical networks, etc. All log analysis is done with utmost privacy and anonymity. CDRs are maintained for no more than 12 months.

Payments

 

Alloo makes use of the services of third parties to process customer’s payments and it is required that these third parties take the appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect your personal data and traffic data and to comply with relevant laws.

Other Services

 

In case we make message boards and forums available to the customer, the customer gives acceptance and takes full responsibility for the information and any other content that is posted on and through these forums. The customer must also be warned that when they voluntarily disclose personal information on or through these forums, this information is available to, and may be collected and used by, other users. This may result in unwanted messages from third parties which beyond our control. Customers are advised to exercise discretion when providing personal information about themselves in and through forums. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not indulge in renting, selling, or sharing any information about the user with any third-party except in special circumstance which are stated below. We may disclose customer’s personal information if we believe such action is necessary to: (a) Comply with the law (b) Safeguard our rights or property (including the enforcement of our agreements); or (c) Act in critical circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of our service or members of the public.

Security

 

We take every possible precaution to protect personal information from misuse, loss or unauthorized access, however, we cannot pledge that personal information will not be vulnerable to unauthorized access. Therefore, we have put various safeguards to secure customer’s personal information.

Changes to Policy

 

Alloo reserves the right to modify or update this policy, at any time with or without giving prior notice. We assure customers that we will not use any personal information in a way that is different than the uses described in this policy without giving the customer an opportunity to opt-out of such differing uses. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you should not use the Alloo app, or any other service.
